This monthly report sheds the light on major incidents that were reported during the month of September in Israeli, PA, and Hamas controlled areas. The overall security threat level this month has increased compared to the previous month of August. During September, a Palestinian was killed due to Israeli forces firing a concussion grenade towards him on Barta’a CP, as he immediately suffered cardiac arrest. In Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and Caesarea, Israeli protests against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu continued for the 14th consecutive week amidst a full lockdown. Furthermore, a protest was reported in Al-Ram against former Fatah Leader Mohammad Dahlan for his said involvement in the Israeli-UAE normalization agreement, and in rejection of his possible return to the Palestinian political scene. This report also analyzes the changes in the political situation of the region, mainly the Arab-Israeli normalization and the potential for Palestinian unity to be formed.
